Care and Welfare

Every member of staff is on hand to ensure that you are happy in your studies and in your everyday life at St Andrew's College Summer Schools.
We are ready to offer advice - and we are easy to talk to. If you have any concerns we are always there to help.
We have adedicated Welfare coordinator on each campus 24 hours a day to help you with any matters.

Accommodation
Balcarres Hall of Residence
All rooms are bright and well appointed;most have washbasins with shower and toilet facilities adjacent. There are several areas for students to use as social rooms.There is a bright main common room and kitchen adjacent; an ever popular room to view the rear garden. Books, TV's and a DVD player are available. There is a computer room providing internet access and printing facilities.
Holm Hall of Residence
Each room has it's own wash hand basin and is adjacent to a shower and seperate toilet. Bathrooms are well distributed over each floor and the house has facilities for students with disabilities. There are two common rooms, each with kitchen area and comfortable seating. Both common rooms have a TV, DVD, CD players and a microwave. There is a computer room with internet access and printing facilities.
Both Halls of Residence are located in a secure gated and landscaped campus which benefits from 24 hour CCTV surveillance.
Damage Deposit
On arrival, every student is required to pay a deposit of £30 against possible damage or loss of keys. This deposit will be refunded on departure providing that no damage or loss of keys has taken place.

Musselburgh
- Musselburgh is located on the south shore of the Firth of Forth 6 miles east of Edinburgh.
- 10 minute walk to beautiful beaches ad coastline
- Musselburgh's shopping area is less than 500 metres from the School gates.
- The Post Office, Banks and Public Library are situated in the centre of the High Street
- Musselburgh boasts many small and interesting shops to satisfy all tastes. There are some excellent cafes and restaurants.
- Musselburgh has its own Theatre (The Brunton Theatre) a small but interesting Museum and some interesting architecture in and around the town.
- Adjacent to Loretto School is Musselburgh Racecourse and a Golf Club.
- A Tesco Supermarket is located at the end of the High Street
