IELTS preparation is for students who need to take the exam to go to university. IELTS is short for 'International English Language Testing System'.
It is for students who are B1 (Intermediate) level and above. You will study 4 x 2 hour lessons per week (8 hours). Each lesson will focus on 1 part of the exam (e.g. Monday: Speaking, Tuesday: Writing, Thursday: Listening, Friday: Reading).
This programme will give you focused exam practise and will help you with exam techniques. You will also be expected to complete homework tasks and study outside the class.
You will study in our Glasgow City Centre Campus at the City of Glasgow College (CGC). This is a two minute walk from your accommodation. Our CGC campus is very modern with interactive whiteboards and multimedia ready classrooms.
Yes, it can be taken at Glasgow University or Glasgow Caledonian University. The exam takes place several times a month but is very busy, so you should apply at least six-weeks before the test date.

Your teacher will use a variety of materials and exercises including role-plays, authentic recorded material, newspapers and magazines.
