Location

Location

Paisley is a large town located on the outskirts of Glasgow, and is Scotland’s largest town by population. It is known for the Paisley Abbey, a church founded in 1163 which still retains parts of its 19th and 20th century arquitecture. Paisley was a global centre for weaving at the end of the 19th century, giving its name to the famous Paisley pattern, inspired by the pattern’s Persian and Indian origins. Paisley also has connections to the witch trials which took place in Scotland between the 16th and 18th centuries.

Travel and Transport

The campus is a two-minute walk to the town’s High Street, and 8-minute walk to the town centre. A nearby train station links Paisley to Glasgow Central via an 11-minute train journey.
