The Campus

The Campus

Our Napier Merchiston campus is based in the heart of Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh. Attractions include the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle and the National Museum of Scotland.

The campus operates as a half-day programme. Students will spend half of the day on excursions and half of the day in the classroom.

Situated on Colinton Road, you will find a range of independent cafés and restaurants within a few minute’s walk from the main campus building.

The English lessons, meals and most evening activities will be held at the Merchiston campus. Sports activities will take place in Harrison Park, a short walk from the main campus.

Location

Travel and Transport

All  of the excursions on the activity programme are by private coach.

The student accommodation and campus are only 3km on foot from the city centre with great transport links by train and public bus.

Accommodation

The Accommodation

The accommodation, Bainfield Hall, is only a 2km walk from Merchiston, but we will transport the students from the accommodation to the campus, by private coach , every morning and once in the evening after dinner. Once evening activities have finished, staff and students walk back to accommodation together.

Bainfield Hall is very modern. The students will live in small flats and will have a single, en-suite bedroom. The flats have small kitchens, clean facilities and free Wi-Fi. Every flat has a comfortable sitting area with a flat screen TV. These are a great place for students to talk and relax with their friends.

The safety of our students is always very important. Bainfield Hall has a 24hr security presence, CCTV and secure access entry systems.

"My classes were very good I enjoyed meeting people from different cultures and speaking in English."
