The Campus
Based on the outskirts of Edinburgh, the Queen Margaret University campus blends state-of-the-art facilities with a peaceful, open setting. Our airy and spacious campus offers a real community feel. Modern and interactive classrooms provide the ideal setting in which to learn English and there are excellent sports facilities, both indoor and outdoor, and a food hall with views of the Scottish countryside.
The Location
The campus is based in the small and historical seaside town of Musselburgh, while also being only a short train ride away from Edinburgh’s city centre. It is only a 10-minute walk to Musselburgh town centre, where you can find many shops and traditional Scottish cafés; a very relaxing place to spend some free time.
Travel and Transport
All journeys on the student activity programme will be by private coach.
Musselburgh train station is based on the QMU campus and trains run directly into Edinburgh city centre, taking only 6 minutes.
The Accommodation
The secure student accommodation at QMU is located right beside the teaching building. The students will stay in small flats which have between 4-6 single, en-suite bedrooms. The flats have small kitchens, clean facilities and free Wi-Fi. Every flat has a shared sitting area where students can talk and relax with their friends.
The safety of our students is always very important. QMU has a 24hr security presence, CCTV and secure access entry systems.
