Greenwich University- Avery Hill
London, the Capital city of England, is one of the most famous and multi-cultural cities in the world. Over 15 million tourists visit London every year.
Favourite places include: the London Eye, Westminster Houses of Parliament and Oxford Street. London has something for everyone.
The Avery Hill Campus, Southwood Site, is in the lovely Avery Hill Park in Eltham, south-east London. It has some excellent teaching, living and sporting facilities.
The Southwood Site has a general shop and a launderette, tennis courts, and a large park for touch rugby, football and rounders. 'The Dome' in the centre of the complex, houses the food hall. At Sparrows Farm, there are also evening disco facilities.
The student accommodation is on campus, this can be an exciting experience and a great way to meet new people and make friends.
The students will live in small flats with 5/6 en-suite single bedrooms and a shared kitchen/eating area. The flats are furnished to a high
standard and there is access to student Wi-Fi.
Student safety is very important to us. Avery Hill has a 24hr security presence and CCTV onsite.
Around and about
The nearest town is Eltham, which has lots of places to shop and eat. Very close the campus is Eltham Palace: King Henry VIII's 1305 childhood home. English Championship football is also played nearby at the home of Charlton Athletic Football Club. The team, however, train directly adjacent to the Avery Hill campus.
Travel and Transport
All journeys on the student excursion programme will be by private coach.
