Nottingham, one of the largest cities in England's East Midlands, is a multi-cultural and modern city, but keeps tradition at its heart. Home of Robin Hood, the city is steeped in history and fable, and is also voted a UNESCO City of Literature.
The Nottingham campus is very large and caters to thousands of students throughout the year. It has outstanding natural beauty, with plenty of green space around and and large lake, where there are boats available to see and enjoy the university from a different perspective.
The students will stay in one corner of the campus, but its onsite facilities boast multiple pharmacies, shops, restaurants, state-of-the-art sports facilities, plenty of teaching space and a hospital directly adjacent to the campus.
The student accommodation is on campus; this can be an exciting experience and a great way to meet new people and make friends.
The students will live in Cavendish Hall with bedrooms off shared corridors and shared kitchen/common areas. The flats are furnished to a high standard and there is access to student Wi-Fi.
Student safety is very important to us. The University of Nottingham has a 24hr security presence, CCTV and secure access entry systems.
The campus is located around a 20-minute bus journey from the city centre. The centre of Nottingham has excellent shopping opportunities and places to eat and drink.
The suburb of Beeston is near the campus, which has many large supermarkets and other shops. Students can walk here in around 20 minutes from the accommodation.
All journeys on the student excursion programme will be by private coach.
