Ayr is 30km southwest of Glasgow. It is a very popular Scottish seaside town.
The campus has large, very comfortable, smart classrooms. It has a very good indoor sports hall and large outdoor sports fields. The food hall is very comfortable and there is a café.
The student accommodation, is a 3-minute walk to the main campus, through the UWS park.
The students share small flats which have 4-5 single, en-suite bedrooms. As with the campus, the flats have very modern, clean facilities and free Wi-Fi. Every flat has a kitchen/sitting area where students can talk and relax with their friends. In the accommodation, there is also a pool table and vending machines which our students very much enjoy.
Student safety is very important. UWS Ayr has a 24hr security presence, CCTV and secure access entry systems.
UWS Ayr is a 10-minute walk to Ayr town centre, which has a large variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and entertainment.
All travel for the student excursion programme will be by private bus.
