The University Campus is set within 20 acres of magnificent parkland bordering the River Ayr. The campus is self-contained and its facilities include state-of-the-art teaching and learning spaces, a sports hall, refectory, library and an on-site café. It is an innovative learning environment for all students.
Situated amongst rolling countryside, the town of Ayr is surrounded by rural villages basked in rich cultural heritage – the infamous Robert Burns was born within the outskirts of the town. The town’s charming seafront and leafy suburbs are complimented by an excellent array of shops and restaurants, making Ayr one of Britain’s most attractive seaside destinations.
The student accommodations are a 3-minute walk from the main campus, through the University's picturesque grounds.
The students share small flats which have 4-5 single, en-suite bedrooms. As with the campus, the flats have very modern, clean facilities and free Wi-Fi. Every flat has a kitchen/sitting area where students can talk and relax with their friends. Facilities also include a pool table, vending machines and wide-open spaces for students to sit and enjoy.
Student safety is very important. UWS Ayr has a 24hr security presence, CCTV and secure access entry systems.
All travel for the student activity programme will be by private coach.
UWS Ayr is a 10-minute walk to Ayr town centre, which has a large variety of shops, restaurants and cafés.
