The Cathedral City of York is located in the North of England, very close to Leeds. It is famed for its Minster, one of the most imposing Cathedrals in the UK.
The centre of this ancient city is home to a vast range of old and winding streets with shops, cafes and traditional teahouses.
Askham Bryan College, an agricultural college is located just outside York. It has a bus link directly to the centre which takes around 25 minutes.
The site itself has a coutryside feel, with plenty of green space and even an animal park on site. It has sports facilities, classrooms and a modern canteen.
The student accommodation is on campus; this can be an exciting experience and a great way to meet new people and make friends.
The students will live in flats with 5/6 en-suite single bedrooms and a shared kitchen/common area. The flats are furnished to a high standard and there is access to student Wi-Fi.
The safety of our students is always very important. Askham Bryan has a 24hr security presence, CCTV and secure access entry systems.
The campus is located between the villages of Askham Bryan and Copmanthorpe, both around a 20-minute walk from the campus. These can provide small shops and cafes.
The nearest city is York, which has lots of places to shop and eat, and is reachable from campus by public bus.
All journeys on the student excursion programme will be by private coach.
