Based at the University of Essex, the Colchester Campus is located in 200 acres of beautiful parkland just outside the historic centre of Colchester. It sits in a very large English park just 2 miles from Colchester. The campus has the feel of ‘a small village’ and there is a lot of space for the students to enjoy themselves.
Colchester campus offers excellent student accommodation, shops, cafés, sports facilities and good classrooms. It also has three separate restaurants, where students can choose daily from the different menus and types of food. The campus has excellent sports facilities, both indoor and outdoor.
The student accommodation at Colchester is on campus. The students will stay in flats which have single, en-suite bedrooms. The flats are furnished to a high standard and have clean facilities and free Wi-Fi. Every flat has a shared common area where students can talk and relax with their friends.
There are comfortable communal areas outwith the accommodation that provide a relaxing environment to socialise and meet other students.
The safety of our students is always very important. Colchester has a 24hr security presence, CCTV and secure access entry systems.
Regular buses go from the campus to Colchester city centre and train station.
Colchester is just over 1 hour from London by car.
All journeys on the student excursion programme will be by private coach.
